TGC Structural
Delivering excellence in concrete and carpentry for the most complex jobs in the toughest environments. Construction Services: TGC is routinely involved in budgeting for GC projects for concrete, rough carpentry, finish carpentry (interior and exterior), and specialties. We understand the public and private process regarding GC requirements for detailed budgets at SD, DD, and at CD level documents. At each level we provide constructability reviews and value engineering. Superintendents are brought in at all levels of budgeting to get feedback on schedules, staffing, general conditions, and productivity reviews. With the solid wood production TWOODS-Line, the proven and high-quality solid wood system TWOODS can be manufactured under license. An original timber construction system manufactured using a state-of-the-art system. TW-Agil: Do you primarily want to efficiently manufacture components with large dimensions or with complex machining operations? Then the right solution is our TW-Agil. Two spindles – one from above and one from below – ensure efficient, all-round machining of the component. TW-Concept Line: A structure needs a high quality foundation. In our solutions, this foundation is the TW-Mill. It consists of a massive portal, a protective cabin and a water-cooled 5-axis spindle. We put everything else together for you to create your optimal system. TW-Balance: Often, elements do not hang on the crane as desired. Laboriously and sometimes dangerously, one tries to maneuver the elements into equilibrium: pushing, lifting, pulling, hitting, or even with workers hanging on the elements. With the TW-Balance, such “stories” are tales of the past.

Advancing Timber in the Built Environment. A partnership between the College of Forestry and Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU) and the College of Design at the University of Oregon (UO), the TallWood Design Institute is one of the nation’s first interdisciplinary research collaboratives focused exclusively on the advancement of mass timber and other wood product building solutions. Through diverse faculty expertise, cutting-edge facilities, and dynamic partnerships with manufacturers, designers, and other stakeholders, TDI oversees a wide range of testing and applied research and provides unique educational opportunities for a growing mass timber workforce. At the core of TDI’s strength is the power of partnerships and science. TDI collaborates closely with public agencies, industry stakeholders, and our faculty partners to drive a strong applied research program. Our research agenda aims at quantifying, qualifying, and advancing the performance of mass timber products and building systems with near-term and practicable results in mind.
