Pyrocal
Pyrocal is an Australian company supplying proven, commercial-scale advanced carbonization systems to global markets. Pyrocal also offers a range of services including feasibility, business case and concept design; mobile drying of biosolids; and carbonization trials. Pyrocal’s technology was used in Australia’s first award-winning biosolids gasification project for Logan Water. | Partnering with waste-producing organisations around the globe, Pyrocal specialises in designing, building and installing Continuous Carbonisation Technology (CCT) systems that transform biomass and biosolids into biochar and renewable energy. Benefits include reduced waste disposal costs, PFAS and microplastics destruction, and energy recovery. Established in 2014, Pyrocal is based in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia, where it operates a full scale commercial system and conducts R&D. Pyrocal’s systems have been deployed around the world in a variety of applications. Most recently, Pyrocal partnered with Logan City Council and Downer to develop Australia’s first biosolids gasification facility, reducing carbon emissions by 6,000 tonnes per annum and saving $1m per annum. In addition to selling its systems, Pyrocal also sells its high quality biochar under the Terix brand, and is an approved supplier of carbon removal credits (CORCs) with Puro.earth. | Pyrocal is an innovative Australian company specialising in the design, build and installation of Continuous Carbonisation Technology (CCT) systems that transform biomass and biosolids into biochar and renewable energy. Purafide
Purafide is an environmental startup that destroys and analyzes emerging contaminants including PFAS and 1,4-dioxane. We help organizations achieve safe, sustainable, and equitable resource recovery. Purafide offers three services: (1) remediate resources with plasma-based technologies; (2) perform bench-, pilot-, & full-scale treatment studies; and (3) analyze contaminants using Modified EPA Methods 1633 and 8270E. Purafide’s Plasma Water Reactor (PWR) shoots human-made lightning into water to efficiently and effectively mineralize pollutants. Without consumables, the PWR operates indiscriminate of background matrix and can be used in various practical applications, ranging from groundwater to leachate. Purafide has demonstrated destruction for many organizations, including industrial users, engineering consultancies, and state environmental agencies. Purafide allocates a portion of analytical fees to our Water Equity Fund, where we perform pro bono analysis of drinking water for disadvantaged communities. Proceeds from product sales also go towards installing treatment systems for communities most in need. Overall, Purafide strengthens the security, stability, and sustainability of water. EPOC Enviro
EPOC Enviro is an environmental engineering company focused on the development and deployment of advanced technologies for PFAS remediation. At the core of EPOC Enviro’s offering is its patented SAFF® (Surface Active Foam Fractionation) technology, designed specifically to separate and concentrate PFAS from impacted water. SAFF® works by introducing controlled aeration into the treatment process, causing PFAS compounds, which are surface active, to attach to rising air bubbles and separate into a concentrated foam fraction. This process enables efficient PFAS removal from large volumes of water while producing a significantly reduced waste stream. EPOC Enviro offers a family of SAFF® systems, providing a suite of solutions designed to suit a wide range of treatment requirements, site conditions and project budgets. From compact units for pilot testing and lower flow applications through to large scale treatment systems for major remediation projects, the SAFF® product range enables scalable PFAS treatment across diverse contaminated water sources. SAFF® systems are engineered to treat groundwater, landfill leachate, surface water and industrial wastewater impacted by PFAS. The technology can operate as a standalone treatment system or be integrated into a broader treatment train alongside technologies, acting as the heavy lifter. Designed for real world remediation environments, SAFF® systems are built for durability and operational reliability. With installations and distribution partners across Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia, EPOC Enviro works with regulators, engineers and remediation contractors to deliver practical PFAS treatment solutions at scale. Through the continued advancement of the SAFF® technology platform, EPOC Enviro is helping address the global challenge of PFAS contamination.
