About Pyrocal Pyrocal is an Australian company supplying proven, commercial-scale advanced carbonization systems to global markets. Pyrocal also offers a range of services including feasibility, business case and concept design; mobile drying of biosolids; and carbonization trials. Pyrocal’s technology was used in Australia’s first award-winning biosolids gasification project for Logan Water. Partnering with waste-producing organisations around the globe, Pyrocal specialises in designing, building and installing Continuous Carbonisation Technology (CCT) systems that transform biomass and biosolids into biochar and renewable energy. Benefits include reduced waste disposal costs, PFAS and microplastics destruction, and energy recovery. Established in 2014, Pyrocal is based in Toowoomba, Queensland Australia, where it operates a full scale commercial system and conducts R&D.
