We are committed to developing innovative tools and technologies for a PFAS-free world. Aquagga harmonizes profitability with purpose, creating proactive solutions for critical societal challenges. The largest environmental contaminant cleanup of the 21st century is underway to clean toxic PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) from the environment. Aquagga is leveraging their expertise as scientists and entrepreneurs to advance cutting-edge contaminant destruction technologies from the laboratory to the field to aid this global effort. Aquagga is the product of collaborative technology development efforts between the University of Washington and the Colorado School of Mines, aimed at ending the contamination of our public watersheds with toxic PFAS “forever chemicals”. Aquagga, Inc. was incorporated in 2019 as a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) with a social and environmental impact provision. Aquagga’s mission is to end environmental contamination from PFAS, while leveraging resources and success to support other impact-minded leaders and entrepreneurs. The Aquagga team is positioning themselves at the intersection of public health and environmental justice, taking an exemplary leadership position in the Alaskan and Washingtonian startup communities.
