ASHA’s Academic Affairs and Research Education (AARE) team offers several research education, mentoring, and award programs that support and advance academic and research careers in communication sciences and disorders (CSD). AARE administers the CSD Education Survey, publishes data on CSD education, and develops resources to promote interprofessional education, collaborative practice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia. Information and opportunities are available throughout the CSD education trajectory for undergraduate students, clinical graduate students in audiology and speech-language pathology, research doctoral students, and early- and mid-career faculty in CSD.
