FONEMZ: Speak & Read is an evidence-based program dedicated to improving focus in the instruction of phonemic awareness, speech sound production, spelling, and reading learning. Multimodal activities that utilize color and distinctive shapes that represent each of the 40 primary sounds in English make up the fun, interactive, multi-sensory activities that solidify learning. This is the essence of FONEMZ: Students from 9 months to 90+ years can progress from the recognition and production of individual sounds to syllable words and ultimately be able to transition to the spelling and reading of words using the FONZABET.
Capital Region ESD 113
The ESD 113 is a public agency that provides a wide range of educational services for 44 school districts across five counties in western Washington State. Eight words guide everything we do: Close gaps, grow people, influence change, eradicate racism. Our SLPs, SLPAs, and audiologists support students in school districts throughout our region. They collaborate extensively with each other, our team of school psychologists, OTs, and special education directors. SLPs enjoy a 4-day work week (8.75 hrs/day, Mon-Thurs, 148 days/yr). We’re looking for mission-driven SLPs to help us expand and reach additional school districts across our region.
