SQUEEK
WELCOME to SQUEEK™ – launching in 2026 with six innovative pre-school, manual, toys! Inspired by the vintage curiosities (zoetropes, phenakistiscopes, praxinoscopes, thaumatropes etc… there are a few..!) These optical illusion devices were the pre-cursor to cinema. Our toys contain moveable pictures which work like frame by frame cartoons (via the phenomenon known as ‘Persistence of Vision’). The patented spinning pictures are revolutionary – literally – and the novelty delivers a whole new play benefit and fresh USP for the early years’ market. The youngest babies tested to enjoy the ‘animation’ were 10 months. Moreover, each toy is lovingly designed and boasts great character. The brand is highly distinctive and original. SQUEEK is bringing back ‘retro’ in more ways than one. Moving pictures are also very adaptable – initially the toys will present sweet little ‘movies’ but they have the potential to enhance role play and/or to be educational. This ‘new’ development should also appeal to licence-holders as it opens enormous possibilities – these are truly interactive toys: so will the toy first introduce the child to eg a Disney character and then they discover the movie or vice versa…? The picture toys have also been regarded to be fantastic fidget toys for children with special educational needs. A number of the toys will have detachable picture frames, widening the scope still further. The possibilities are endless and SQUEEK has already won multiple awards in the UK. The first products to launch are: Daisy: a highchair / tabletop toy (decorated with the cutest insect characters) Daisy: a rattle / teether (also adorned with the same adorable insects) Links: a practical means of keeping the rattle/teether (etc) close to the baby but featuring the now-signature caterpillar. REG: possibly the cutest car on the planet.. 🙂 REG is a pull-along wooden toy with internal moving pictures. REG will be available in 3 designs: plain design, a police car and a NY taxi. Walker: for a toddler. There is a tray for holding other toys but the front features paper-card pictures which turn as the toddler walks – so encouraging activity. Rolliescope: still in development – this toy affords many more pictures, telling a longer story. Cloud: After that a hanging cot toy will be next plus a stroller toy. SQUEEK is proudly a member of the Ethical Supply Chain safeguarding workers’ rights and safety. SQUEEK is also a member of the Toy Association. SQUEEK’s founder / inventor, Pip, is acutely aware of the environmental issues and is genuinely concerned to do the right thing / mitigate harm where possible.
