In 2014, Darren Manzari’s life was irrevocably changed when his son was critically injured in an electrocution accident. The accident, which involved a high-voltage system failure, left his son with life-threatening injuries and served as a stark reminder of the dangers that electric vehicles can pose when handled without the proper knowledge and training. The incident fueled Darren’s determination to prevent similar tragedies from happening to other families, leading him to channel his pain into a powerful mission: to enhance electric vehicle safety through education. Driven by this deeply personal experience, Darren founded MyXEV with the goal of bridging the knowledge gap in electric vehicle safety. He recognized that as the adoption of electric vehicles grows, so too does the need for specialized training that can equip first responders, automotive technicians, and EV owners with the skills to safely manage high-voltage systems. MyXEV was born out of Darren’s commitment to transforming his personal tragedy into a force for good, ensuring that others are better prepared to handle the unique challenges posed by electric vehicles.
