We’re musicians and technologists driven by a passion to empower creativity. At Yamaha Guitar Group, we design the next generation of gear that inspires artists to create, record, and perform in new ways. With a legacy of innovation, we’ve consistently delivered category-defining products that push technical boundaries—so you can focus on your music. It all began in 1996 with the launch of the AxSys 212, the world’s first digital modeling amp. Two years later, we revolutionized guitar recording with the POD® multi-effect, making great tone more accessible than ever. Our Variax® guitars redefined versatility, and our Relay® wireless systems led the analog-to-digital transition for guitarists. In 2015, we introduced the Helix® family—our flagship guitar processors—marking a major leap in sound design and the relationship between musicians and technology. Joining the Yamaha family in 2014 opened new doors for global collaboration. By 2017, this partnership led to the formation of Yamaha’s first Guitar Division, and in 2018, Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc. was born. As a U.S.-based subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, Japan, we oversee global marketing for Yamaha and Line 6 guitar products, while continuing to develop groundbreaking gear and collaborate with our counterparts in Japan. That same year, we welcomed Ampeg® into our family. Known for pioneering bass amplification since the 1940s, Ampeg’s legacy includes the first bass combo amp, the first guitar amp with reverb, and the iconic SVT. With six U.S. patents and a reputation for innovation, Ampeg expanded our offerings for bassists, complementing Yamaha bass guitars, Line 6 Relay systems, and Helix processors. In 2023, we further broadened our reach by acquiring Córdoba Music Group. Founded in 1997, Córdoba brought nylon-string guitars to a wider audience, blending traditional Spanish craftsmanship with modern design. The acquisition also included Guild® Guitars—established in 1953—along with HumiCase® instrument cases and DeArmond® pickups. CMG’s distribution of Savarez and Aquila strings in the U.S. added even more depth to our portfolio. With the integration of Córdoba, Guild, and associated brands, we now offer an even wider range of acoustic, electric, and bass guitar products. This expansion complements Yamaha’s own nylon-string instruments and introduces ukuleles, acoustic bass guitars, premium cases, pickups, and strings—alongside U.S.-based manufacturing expertise. At Yamaha Guitar Group, we’re committed to pushing boundaries and delivering tools that elevate your music. Whether you’re on stage, in the studio, or creating at home, we’re here to help you reach new heights. Because in the end, we love being part of making great music.
Jensen Speakers / SICA Loudspeakers
SICA Altoparlanti is a loudspeaker manufacturer, established in 1979, based in Trecastelli, in the heart of the Marche region, the “music district” in Italy. Our founder and CEO, Raimondo Sbarbati, dedicated his entire career to the art of sound reproduction. In over 45 years, SICA has grown to a strategic partnership status for some of the world-leading manufacturers with either catalog speakers or with custom-developed OEM drivers. From the offices, the R&D laboratories, the anechoic chamber, the testing department, the stock of raw components and materials, up to the custom-designed assembly lines, all activities are grouped together in a single premise. SICA’s portfolio ranges from products for the HiFi and Studio Monitor applications (Woofers, Midranges, Tweeters and Coaxial Drivers), to products developed for the Pro Audio, Sound Reinforcement, Musical Instruments Amplifiers, Home Cinema and Smart Furniture industries: hyper-powerful Woofers and Subwoofers, miniaturized Compression Drivers, Full Range, Dual Cone, Coaxial and FRFR speakers for the amplification of the digital modeling and profiling guitar processors. In 1996 SICA welcomed the challenge to reintroduce the legendary Jensen guitar loudspeakers in the market. Today the Jensen speakers are used by many of the biggest and most sophisticated Tube Guitar Amplifier makers. The range includes the Vintage series, meticulously crafted reissues of the original speakers of the ’50s and the ’60s, and the Jet series, made of new and original designs. The Jensen speakers for guitar and bass feature a wide range of sizes, magnet types (Alnico, Ceramic and Neodymium), and are sold worldwide to either industrial customers or distribution and retail partners such as Fender, Mesa/Boogie, Gibson, Magnatone, Supro, Harmony/Bandlab, GR Bass, GR Guitar, Red Sound, Toob, among many others.
