About
Zylö’s Z-pod™ topical delivery system--originally licensed from Albert Einstein College of Medicine--overcomes bioavailability challenges by providing: (i) improved stability; (ii) sustained release; (iii) targeting of the hair follicle unit (iv) reduced enzymatic degradation; and (v) the ability to provide sustained release of nitric oxide. Importantly, we also enable intellectual property claims around non-proprietary actives incorporated into our technology. You can now claim that your product "nourishes the skin with your hero ingredient 24/7" or "fights against acne blemishes 24/7" or figts the skin-aging process 24/7." We can load almost any hero ingredient into our Z-pods®, which are micron-sized amorphous silica particles. The Z-pods® are then incorporated into a cream, lotion, foam, serum, etc. by you or your CMO. Once applied, the Z-pods® embed deep into the stratum corneum and into the follicular unit, giving the hero ingredient a head start into the skin. From there, the Z-pods® release your hero ingredient slowly over time via diffusion, delivering lasting benefits to the skin for up to 24 hours, enhancing product performance.
