About Varta Varta is a small batch coffee roastery focused exclusively on Indian grown coffee. In Gujarati, Varta means a story or a conversation. That is how coffee has always shown up in our lives. Not as something rushed, but as something shared. India has been growing coffee for generations, yet it remains less familiar to many people within specialty coffee today. We started Varta to change that. We work with Indian coffees we genuinely enjoy and roast them in small batches. Our goal is simple. It is to respect the work done at origin and approach roasting in a way that keeps the coffee clear, balanced, and true to where it comes from.
