About The Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases The Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (KATRD) represents health professionals and scientific societies related to respiratory disease in South Korea. KATRD endeavors to promote research, patient care, and education in the field of respiratory disease and to improve the health of patients with respiratory diseases in South Korea. Founded in 1953, KATRD has the 66 years of history. Since 1962, the society has held more than 120 academic conferences and 1,656 membership.
