About St. Vincent Health, Inc. d/b/a Ascension St. Vincent Ascension is one of the nation’s leading non-profit and Catholic health systems, with a Mission of delivering compassionate, personalized care to all with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable. In FY2024, Ascension provided $2.1 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs. Across 17 states and the District of Columbia, Ascension’s network encompasses approximately 128,000 associates, 33,000 affiliated providers, 118 wholly owned or consolidated hospitals, and 34 senior living facilities. Additionally, through strategic partnerships, Ascension holds an ownership interest in 16 other hospitals. Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis and Evansville are Adult Level I and II Trauma Centers verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) that provides 24/7 critical care. The new Ascension St. Vincent Women and Infants Hospital, opening in November, has 268,000 square feet space and 109 private Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) rooms for babies who need it, along with 30 maternity suites for parents to spend time with their newborns. There are also couplet rooms where both moms and babies can receive care in the same room. Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center is ranked second in the nation for cardiac care by Money’s Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care of 2024.
