About Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. (A HEICO Company) was founded in 1989 by four employees of GE Silicones. They recognized that several niche markets were emerging based on silicone technology and no commercial solution existed to meet this growing demand. They combined their experience to design and manufacture EMI/RFI Conductive Silicones for Electronics/Military applications; Silicone/PTFE Septa closures and cap mats for analytical testing; and aerospace/USP-Class VI medical-grade silicones for Industrial Gasket Fabricators. Today SSP has a reputation for developing “Silicones that Work” and delivering them to our customers with speed, flexibility, and service. Some of these products were designed to meet demanding specifications such as: MIL-DTL-83528, a Shielding application only a few manufacturers have been approved by the DLA on the Qualified Products List (QPL); MIL-DTL-25988, a military and aerospace gasket material designed for harsh environments associated with fuel, oil, and seal salt exposure; AMS specifications; and USP Class VI compliant silicones for medical devices.
