About Schweitzer We’re a family run design & shopfitting business from the South Tyrol region of Italy. With origins in refrigeration, we continue to innovate at the forefront of retail, working side-by-side with our clients to provide custom-made 360° solutions for food and non-food retailers all over the world. Founded in the 1920s, Schweitzer is a family-owned company now proudly led by its third generation and approaching its 99th year of excellence. What began as the manufacture of refrigerated counters for butcher shops and patisseries has evolved into a comprehensive portfolio including stainless-steel cabinetry, bespoke claddings, and finely crafted wooden counters. Today, Schweitzer delivers fully integrated, end-to-end retail solutions — designing, fabricating, delivering, and installing every visible element that defines the customer experience in store. With strong roots across Europe, Schweitzer executes projects worldwide. Since 2006, North America has become one of our most important growth markets, starting with the realization of the Food Emporium stores in New York City.
