The new LaPorte facility will give North American lithium-ion battery manufacturers a consistent, domestic supply of Orion’s PRINTEX® kappa 100 conductive additive. The extremely high purity and conductivity of PRINTEX kappa 100 increases power densities and battery life. PRINTEX kappa 100 and other conductive additives produced at La Porte will be super clean, with only one-tenth of the carbon footprint of other commonly used materials. To further serve the market, Orion’s Battery Innovation Center, located in Cologne, Germany, accelerates the company's product and process development in close cooperation with customers.
