As the collective voice for our bioscience community, Oregon Bio is responsible for communicating the industry’s economic impact, issues and challenges to the public sector, educators and the general public. Oregon Bio promotes the growth and continually seeks ways to support sustainability and growth in the life science, bioscience, biotechnology and device manufacturing sectors. Oregon Bio offers a host of member services to lower operational costs and promote partnering, so members can achieve their scientific, economic and social potential. Oregon Bio is an affiliate of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization. About Oregon Pavilion The Oregon Bioscience Association was formally established as a 501(c)(6) non-profit in 1989 by a consortium of universities, public officials, educators, and bioscience executives. Since its founding, the Association has united key stakeholders to cultivate a vibrant bioscience community in the region. What We Do: - Advocate for policies and initiatives that support enterprise growth and innovation - Cultivate a dynamic ecosystem that advances bioscience and fosters collaboration - Educate through workforce development, networking, and professional training opportunities How We Do It: We engage in a wide range of activities to strengthen and grow the bioscience sector, including: -Advocating for the industry's contributions, challenges, and priorities - Delivering cost-saving services and fostering strategic partnerships -Hosting events, conferences, and networking opportunities -Providing professional development through the BioPro workforce training program -Promoting research collaborations between industry and academia -Conducting market research and sharing industry insights with stakeholders -Supporting workforce pipelines through internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship programs -Showcasing innovations and advancements in bioscience at regional events -Facilitating introductions between companies and funding sources or investors
