About Mirscience Tx Mirscience develops RNA therapies to treat age-related muscle and metabolic deterioration. We focus on exploring the “dark matter” of the genome — non-coding RNAs — to unlock new therapeutic possibilities. Using sophisticated genomic analysis, we identify disease-driving non-coding RNAs—including microRNAs (miRNAs), messenger RNAs, and long non-coding RNAs—collectively known as the "dark genome." These molecules regulate multiple genes and play a pivotal role in disease progression. Following rigorous target validation, we optimize our therapeutic molecules and screen candidates to select the most promising lead. Our lead program, MT-29, targets two critical proteins that disrupt the normal balance between muscle growth and muscle degradation—tipping the scale toward severe muscle loss. In preclinical models, MT-29 has shown robust efficacy in preserving muscle mass, improving strength, and maintaining a favorable safety profile. We are currently progressing toward clinical development.
