About

About MARIA FLOWERS Our Mission: We are committed to efficiently integrating floral and logistical resources, enabling the finest flowers from the Andes Mountains to reach consumers at the largest supermarkets worldwide. Through carefully selected quality flowers, we bring beauty while enhancing mental well-being. By partnering with honorable growers and implementing rigorous quality control systems, we ensure that our customers receive the highest levels of service in the industry, all while managing risk for both growers and supermarkets. Thanks to Your Business, María Flowers has been able to donate over $125,000 to initiatives that protect tropical rainforests and support people in need. We are proud to have donated these funds to the following prestigious foundations: • Fundación Cóndor Andino, Ecuador • WildAid, Ecuador • Orchid Conservation Alliance / EcoMinga, Ecuador • Rainforest Trust, Colombia and Ecuador • World Central Kitchen, Worldwide • Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, Miami Florida Carbon Neutral Goal Maria Flowers is proud to be the first flower company to join LATAM Group’s CO2 compensation program. Since January 2023, we have offset over 2,000 tons of CO2 from our flower shipments through LATAM Cargo’s "1+1: Offset to Conserve" program. This includes impactful projects like "CO2Bio" in Colombia, "Cururos Wind Farm" in Chile, and "Nii Kaniti Community Forest Management" in Peru. Our mission is to be 100% carbon neutral by 2035. We are committed to accelerating our efforts to achieve this goal even sooner, demonstrating our dedication to sustainability and care for a healthier environment. Environmental & Pollinator-Friendly Goal Our flowers are sourced from farms certified by respected organizations such as Rainforest Alliance, Flor Verde, Flor Ecuador, Fair Trade, Flor Ecuador and SMETA. By January 2025, our goal is for each farm to have Pollinator Friendly Certificate to ensure that all farms use the IPM (integrated pest management) protocols to protect pollinators, promoting biodiversity and supporting healthy ecosystems.
