About Lucid Genomics GmbH Lucid Genomics is a Berlin-based AI genomics company, spun out of the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Our mission is to unlock the full diagnostic potential of the human genome, including the 98% of non-coding DNA that conventional tools leave behind. As long-read sequencing technologies mature, the genomic community is gaining unprecedented access to complex variants that short-read approaches routinely miss. Lucid Genomics is built for this new era. Our AI-powered platform is purpose-built to integrate the rich, multi-layered data that long-read sequencing produces: structural variants, DNA methylation patterns, and tandem repeat expansions, analyzed together, at scale, across the entire genome. By unifying these variant classes in a single interpretive framework, Lucid enables clinicians and researchers to resolve cases that have long remained diagnostically unsolved, particularly in rare disease, where structural and non-coding variants are frequently the underlying cause.
