About
About LEIGHTWORKS David Leight’s artistic journey began in 1999 at Pilchuck Glass School, founded by Dale Chihuly, where he studied crystal shaping and polishing under Mark Taylor. Inspired by the brilliance of ice and crystal, he developed a prism-layered cutting technique designed to enhance light and create a signature glow from within. In 2004, David was commissioned to create a five-foot crystalline sculpture of the Google logo for co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, a milestone that launched his career and inspired him to open his San Diego studio. Soon after, a single request to turn a custom paperweight into a pendant revealed his true calling—crystal jewelry. Now in his 26th year, David is the founder and creative force behind LeightWorks Crystal Jewelry™, an award-winning line recognized for its vibrant, color-changing glow and lasting craftsmanship. Each piece is hand-cut from fine optic glass, fused with precious metals to produce its prismatic effect, and set in waterproof stainless steel, sterling silver, or gold. Designed for durability, LeightWorks jewelry won’t scratch, fade, or tarnish and is made to withstand everyday wear—swim, sleep, work, or play. LeightWorks jewelry is sold nationwide in casinos, airports, museums, fine galleries, and gift shops, bringing David’s signature glow to collectors and everyday wearers alike. His designs continue to embody originality, elegance, and a timeless light that transforms with every movement.
