About JRM Incorporated JRM, Inc. was founded by James R. Merritt, a former golf course superintendent who grew frustrated with the poor craftsmanship of aeration tines and bedknives. In the early 90s, aerating a golf course required replacing tines 5-6 times. Jim approached Toro® to develop a tine that could last an entire aeration, but they said it couldn’t be done. Determined to find a solution, Jim began making tines in his garage, and in 1997, he introduced JRM’s DILLENNIUM® carbide tip tines. These tines could aerate 18 greens—including practice areas—on a single set, revolutionizing the turfgrass maintenance industry. Today, with over 30 years of innovation, JRM is known for producing the highest-quality products trusted by superintendents worldwide. Products: DURANIUM-801® Greensmower and Fairway Bedknives. JRM has perfected several proprietary processes to create bedknives which hold a sharp edge longer, even in challenging soil and turf conditions, such as those with heavy sand top-dressing. INFINITY® DURANIUM-24 Reels-JRM’s fairway and greensmower reels are designed to maintain a sharp edge while being tough enough to handle impacts. The improved heat-treat process increases durability, setting JRM’s reels apart in the industry. INFINITY® Tines made from JRM’s patented steel, INFINITY® tines are heat-treated to be up to 40% harder than standard steel tines. These tines deliver consistent performance, guaranteeing the same diameter and hole length from the first green to the 18th. Many users can aerate over 36 greens plus tee boxes with just one set. INFINITY® Emperor Tines-Engineered to remove the smallest cores with minimal disruption to gameplay, Emperor tines effectively remove thatch and improve water infiltration on golf greens. When used correctly, a single set can aerate 36 to 48 greens, offering incredible durability and efficiency. JRM Deburring Stone-JRM DURANIUM-801® bedknives are renowned for being ready to cut right out of the box. After aligning the bedknives to the bed bar, the JRM deburring stone comes into play. By coating the bed bar with WD-40 and hand-stoning the surface for about 30 seconds, you can remove high spots and dings, ensuring the flattest surface. This minimizes the need for grinding, extending the life of the bedknife. JRM Vulcan Grinding Wheelz-The Vulcan grinding wheel is compatible with all Foley, Peerless, and Bernhard bedknife grinders. Made from Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN), the second hardest abrasive next to diamond, these wheels are ideal for grinding harder steels like bedknives. CBN wheels provide a cooler grind, reducing the risk of thermal damage and cutting grind time in half compared to standard Aluminum Oxide wheels.
