About

About Horiba Instruments, Inc. About HORIBA Instruments Founded in 1953, HORIBA has explored a wide range of unique measurement and analysis technologies to meet global customer needs from 47 group companies and local sites spread across 28 countries and regions. At the Powder Show, HORIBA is featuring particle characterization instrumentation critical to powder processing and monitoring operations using a wide variety of techniques, including laser light scattering, dynamic light scattering and zeta potential, dynamic image analysis (for particle size and shape), BET surface area analysis, and microscopy. Horiba is known worldwide for producing the highest quality instrumentation and backing it with exceptional customer focused support and service. Examples of each of these technologies are being shown with an emphasis on the LA-960 and Fritsch Analysette 28. HORIBA has a breadth of offerings relevant to battery development and usage from materials to full system. HORIBA has a range of scientific measurement equipment including Raman spectroscopy, glow discharge-OES, and micro x-ray fluorescence spectroscopy that can be used to quantify the composition and structural properties of battery materials. Full battery cell, module, pack and vehicle testing facilities are also available through a combination of HORIBA’s in-house STARS software suite, hardware partnerships and system integration expertise. HORIBA’s STARS software also includes options for facility, data and asset management as well as enterprise capabilities. For manufacturing, HORIBA can supply module end-of-line test stations and Raman in-line measurement. Contract testing and engineering support is also possible through HORIBA’s global network of battery, powertrain and vehicle testing facilities. Engineering consultancy is also available for battery pack and management system development, cell selection and characterization, and thermal management modelling and design optimization.
