About

About Fundación INCIDE The Innovation and Science Foundation for Business Development (INCIDE) is a non-profit organization, founded in 2013 by a group of mexican pharmaceutical companies, committed to technological development and innovation. INCIDE was created with the purpose of promoting scientific and technological development, as well as innovation, in biotech companies to generate value and competitive advantages and to collaborate in the economic and social development of companies and the country. The founding entrepreneurs have been shareholders of companies with more than 60 years in the pharmaceutical market, achieving their success on innovation processes that have projected them to generate patents and successfully venture into international markets. Our philosophy led us to collaborate with Universities and Public Research centers in order to foster science, technology and innovation in the pharma and health sectors. We implement 3 main open innovation strategies for Mexican pharmaceutical companies: 1) we run a program of innovation challenges where pharma companies identify a problem that need to be solved and we launch and open call to identify feasible solutions. The winners are funded to implement the selected project; 2) we launch an open call to incubate startups with pharma and health developments in early stage (since TRL 3) and prepare them to raise capital with Venture Capital Funds; 3) We are contributing to conform a Multi Corporate Venture Capital with investment thesis in health for startups in early stages (seed, pre Serie A and A Series). Finally, we also help Mexican pharma companies to identify in licensing opportunities for Mexican and Latinamerican markets, with a focus in small mollecules, vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and drug delivery systems.
