About

About European Pavilion The European Pavilion is managed by the European Innovation Council (EIC). The EIC stands as Europe’s principal initiative for nurturing breakthrough technologies and transformative innovations. With a substantial budget of €10.1 billion, it is dedicated to supporting innovation across its entire lifecycle, from early-stage research to market-scale implementation. It serves as a catalyst for fostering innovation, driving economic growth, and advancing Europe's position as a global leader in technology and entrepreneurship. The EIC operates through several schemes: (1) EIC Pathfinder: This scheme backs research teams exploring emerging breakthrough technologies. (2) EIC Transition: Focusing on technology maturation and business case development, it aims to bring novel technologies to market. (3) EIC Accelerator: Providing funding and investments via the EIC Fund, it supports startups and small companies in scaling up their breakthrough innovations. The EIC Fund emerges as the largest European deep tech investor, committed to investing across all technologies and verticals in every European country. It prioritizes the development and commercialization of disruptive technologies while actively engaging market players and mitigating risks. Particularly, the Fund places emphasis on empowering female founders and bridging the innovation gap among EU countries. The EIC support extends beyond financial aid. It also offers access to tailored EIC Business Acceleration Services, facilitating the acceleration of innovations towards commercialization.
