About ERCI European Railway Clusters Initiative ASBL The European Railway Clusters Initiative or 'ERCI' is the leading meta-cluster of the railway sector in Europe uniting 18 research and innovation-oriented railway technology clusters, covering 17 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, United Kingdom). Together, we connect the ideas and interests of over 3,600 enterprises and research institutes of the railway sector, including over 2,500 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for whom the ERCI is their engine of innovation at the European level. The ERCI aims to promote innovation and the development of new business opportunities as a means to sustainably strengthen competitiveness and resilience within the European railway industry. Furthermore, the ERCI promotes cooperation between industry and research, initiates innovation projects, organises B2B meetings and workshops as well providing world class knowledge exchange. The ERCI also promotes visibility of supply chain capability, B2B opportunities, networking and collaboration at the strategic (EU) level. Our mission for Railway Interchange 2025 is to develop as many relationships as possible to help our thousands of suppliers to better understand the US railroad market, its challenges and its opportunities.
