About
About Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs The Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) promotes industrial technology research and innovation by planning and implementing science and technology projects. It integrates the capabilities of research institutes, industry, and academia to develop forward-looking technologies with industrial application potential, thereby facilitating the development of emerging industries and the upgrading and transformation of existing sectors. As a driving force behind industrial innovation and transformation, the MOEA actively aligns with the government’s six core strategic industries—including information and digital technology, precision health, and net-zero emissions—as well as five trusted industries, such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and communications. Leveraging years of accumulated R&D energy from technology projects, the MOEA fosters cross-institutional integration and synergy, continues to deepen key technology fields, and connects resources from academia, research, and industry to complement each other’s strengths. These efforts aim to enhance technological innovation and industrial competitiveness, address societal challenges, and promote innovation-driven transformation.
