About Colmet LLC We've spent generations looking for new and better ways to get things done. After receiving our first patent in 1958 for galvanized clip landscape edging, Colmet worked continuously to grow our reputation as a company that builders and landscapers could trust. As the business grew and expanded globally, we worked to make life better for our customers. In the 1980s, we enhanced the painted edging on the market by making it shorter and more manageable for small crews and homeowners. In 2000, we invented and patented Attached-Stake Edging, which simplified retail purchases. In 2021, we were awarded a patent on our bolt-together steel planters, called FloraForm®, that complete the modern look popular in landscaping today. Two years later, we made edging better again with QuickLock®, a new edging that's easier to install, with stronger stakes. And 2024 marked the arrival of Yard Armor™, our latest line of steel products equipped to protect your gutters, pipes, and posts in style.
