About
About Canadian Association of Moldmakers We are the national association representing Canadian mold makers, molders, plastics and service providers and suppliers to these industries. Our members and sponsors represent companies involved in these industries and as an association we represent them through advocacy and provide value in events, education, support, B2B opportunities, our new Capabilities Map and Resource Centre and more. We are dedicated to bringing REAL tangible value to our members. We are always looking for new members to join us and we accept companies from the US and Canada. The Association was established in 1981 (then called the Windsor Association of Moldmakers or WAMM) to provide a unified voice in representing the mold making industry on the national and international stage. As the industry grew and interest in membership increased we became the Canadian Association of Moldmakers in 1992 and have since been joined by a vast array of global companies focused on mold making, designing, manufacturing, service and supply. CAMM is also committed to the educational sector and workforce development, which ensures that our industry will continue to grow in strength, technology, and that our youth will choose these trades as their career path. Our latest initiative, TechBridge, allowed us to create VR and online training in Foundations, CNC Mill and CNC Lathe; as well as, a VR simulation "A Day in the Life of a Mold Maker'. We also celebrated our First Annual Manufacturing Month in October, with visits to secondary schools where, joined by our members, we connected with youth, parents and educators providing career pathway information, addressed misconceptions and allowed them to learn about our trade.
