About
About Aptah Bio Aptah Bio is a biotech startup based in San Carlos (CA - USA), working with novel RNA therapies for age-related diseases. We have identified and are developing the first and only compound, which significantly reduces age-related, increasingly frequent, random RNA processing errors, thus eliminating multiple faulty RNAs and resulting toxic proteins at the same time. Its utility spans across multiple therapeutic categories, including age-related neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, areas of high unmet medical need, and significant commercial potential. As the global population ages, age-related diseases have become a significant, growing concern and socioeconomic burden, currently inadequately addressed by existing therapies. Our therapy holds the potential to address the root cause of many of these age-related dysfunctional proteins and the diseases they cause. As the global population ages, age-related diseases have become a significant, growing concern and socioeconomic burden, currently inadequately addressed by existing therapies. Our therapy holds the potential to address the root cause of many of these age-related dysfunctional proteins and the diseases they cause. Aptah Bio is a biotechnology startup that has developed a proprietary RNA rejuvenation technology by understanding the mechanisms underlying sporadic age-related diseases. The RNA Widespread Correction (WiCo) platform enables the design of synthetic molecules that modulate small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs). The lead molecule, APT20TTMG, specifically targets and corrects dysfunctions in the U1 snRNP complex, a critical factor implicated in multiple age-related diseases. Its new mechanism of action holds broad therapeutic potential across several areas of high unmet medical need, including oncology, ophthalmology, and neurodegenerative diseases.
