The main activities of AB include Molecular Diagnostics based on the qualitative and quantitative determination of nucleic acids through molecular biology methods. The company develops kits for the extraction and amplification of DNA/RNA and offers fully automated analysis management tools; AB ANALITICA also has a line of Breath tests capable of identifying various diseases, based on carbon-13 or hydrogen-labeled substrates. In particular, the company specializes in the diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori through a patented device in 2000. Over the years, the Breath Test was introduced, and Molecular technologies evolved from End-Point PCR to Reverse Line Blot, and finally to Real-Time PCR. The kit panel has expanded enormously, adapting to the demands of the global market.
