bNovate Technologies specializes in rapid microbiology testing solutions that can be used in various applications in the water industry. bNovate’s flagship device, BactoSense, is an automated and online bacterial monitoring system designed for rapid detection of bacteria in drinking water. This instrument can continuously quantify the total number of viable bacteria in water and quickly detect any microbiological contamination, dramatically reducing the current routine measurement time from 1-5 days, down to just 20 minutes to result. It is an IoT-connected smart solution that can operate on-site or remotely and be integrated with any safety monitoring system. What we do for our customers: Enable Near-Real-Time Water Quality Monitoring: BactoSense provides results within 20 mins, which will allow for the continuous assessment of key bacterial water quality parameters, namely Total Cell Count (TCC) or Intact Cell Count (ICC) both in cells/ml, offering a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic nature of water quality. Enhance Treatment Process Control: BactoSense will not only provide near-real-time data but also facilitate quality control of treatment processes and distribution systems. This will be achieved by offering detailed insights into water quality parameters with alarm thresholds, enabling quick responses, like chlorine dosing, to any deviations from desired quality standards. External Event-based Sampling: Based on the given data and degree of integration into the SCADA system, BactoSense allows sampling intervals to be set based on e.g. environmental data, like rainfall events. This exemplifies the resource-efficient and environmentally friendly use of reagents and cartridges. Detection of Bacterial Contaminants: BactoSense can rapidly identify the presence of undesirable bacterial contaminants and anomalies. This will enhance the ability to safeguard water sources and distribution networks from potential risks and ensure public health and safety.
