The Materials Joining Innovation Centre (MaJIC) is a not-for-profit organization in Northern Ontario dedicated to advancing welding and materials technologies. Serving the mining industry, MaJIC provides metallurgical and failure analysis, welding procedure development, and welder testing to ensure compliance and reliability. Its ISO 9001-certified laboratory delivers mechanical and metallurgical testing, while expert engineers and technologists support troubleshooting, and equipment validation. By leveraging funding programs and its partnership with Northern College, MaJIC helps mining companies improve safety, durability, and performance of equipment and materials in demanding operating environments.
