MYC holds a non-redundant function in at least 70% of human cancers, hence targeting MYC is the most promising therapeutic opportunity to date. Despite that, there is currently no MYC inhibitor in the market. Our Flagship Product, ONR-001, is designed to directly activate the tumor suppressor TET2. In preclinical studies, ONR-001 has shown promise in reprograming tumor cells into a less malignant state, inducing cell cycle arrest and cell death. Having demonstrated oral in-vivo efficacy in solid and hematological tumors – including colorectal cancer, melanoma, and acute myeloid leukemia-, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in other indications such as glioblastoma, and lung, pancreas, ovarian, and bladder cancers, this agent has now entered the regulatory preclinical phase. Although our main programme is focused on cancer, having demonstrated efficacy in several in-vivo indications, we also have excellent results in neuro-degenerative diseases and we are just starting several collaborations, including 2 with researchers from California (USA) in the field of age-related diseases. ONIRIA Therapeutics is co-founded by VHIO, the University of Barcelona (UB), and the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA). To date, ONIRIA has raised €4.1M from public and private sources.
