Century Tool & Century Automation
Century Tool provides design, build and run-off of tooling for composite structures with a specialization in dimensionally large parts and class-A surface tooling for the automotive, aerospace, heavy truck, bath and spa, energy and powersports industries. Century provides compression molds for processes utilizing Sheet Molded Compounds (SMC), Bulk Molded Compounds (BMC), Direct Long Fiber Thermoplastics (D-LFT), Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), or Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastics (CFRP). Within its 89,900 sq. ft. facility, Century has 15 high performance machine tools for drilling, milling, 3D roughing, semi finishing and finishing of both steel and aluminum, enabling it to achieve complex geometries and exacting tolerances. The company can produce molds in excess of 100,000 lbs. and sizes of up to 343” long by 100” deep by 120” tall. Century Tool can help companies achieve their lightweighting strategies by providing tooling capable of producing complex, aerodynamic shapes.
