IOPI Medical manufactures the Iowa Oral Performance Instruments (IOPI), products that objectively measure tongue and lip strength and can be used for biofeedback for oral motor exercises. FONEMZ: Speak & Read is an evidence-based program dedicated to improving focus in the instruction of phonemic awareness, speech sound production, spelling, and reading learning. Multimodal activities that utilize color and distinctive shapes that represent each of the 40 primary sounds in English make up the fun, interactive, multi-sensory activities that solidify learning. This is the essence of FONEMZ: Students from 9 months to 90+ years can progress from the recognition and production of individual sounds to syllable words and ultimately be able to transition to the spelling and reading of words using the FONZABET.
