Anago specializes in products that improve safety and production performance in the food processing industry in the United States, Australasia, and Europe. It also provides independent knife and trimmer blade sharpness testing equipment that provides the ‘Anago score’. Anago’s primary product is the Knife Sharpness Tester, which has been developed to benefit the food processing industry, knife and sharpening equipment manufacturers, and knife re-sharpeners around the world by improving the sharpness of cutting tools. Studies implementing Anago’s technology have shown that improving knife sharpness levels in a food processing environment provides benefits such as 80% fewer strain and overuse injuries, up to 1.5 times faster cutting speed, and yield improvements of up to 1.2%.

Beyond the institutional representation of the sector, ABIMAQ has a professional management and its activities are aimed at generating business opportunities for its members, performing actions with political and economic authorities, stimulating trade and international cooperation and contributing to improve their performance in terms of technology, training of human resources and management modernization. The result of a partnership between the Brazilian Machinery Builders´ Association (ABIMAQ) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the Brazil Machinery Solutions Program aims to promote the brazilian exports of machinery and equipment, as well as to strengthen Brazil’s image as a manufacturer of mechanical capital goods. Focusing on markets such as Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa and United States, the Program performs several actions aimed at bringing Brazilian business community to such markets with the purpose of showing them the quality and the differentials of machinery and equipment from Brazil.
