Hidrostal North America
Hidrostal® is the original screw impeller pump. Designed to handle fish friendly pump applications, the pump was originally created in Lima, Peru in 1955. Hidrostal was the first to patent the screw impeller technology in 1961. Hidrostal SA, with headquarters in Neunkirch, Switzerland, operates in over 60 countries on all continents. In 2015 Hidrostal opened the North American operations in Aurora, IL. The North American operation has sales, engineering, shipping/receiving, assembly, testing and an inventory to support the North American market. In the US and Canada, Hidrostal is sold in the industrial and municipal markets through distributors or manufacturers reps. Hidrostal Pumps has a high competence level in difficult fluid handling and problem solving skills throughout the world. The Hidrostal screw impeller pump can effectively handle sludge, fluids containing solids, rags, wipes and fibrous materials at a high efficiency rating without clogging the impeller. Based on the frame size, we can tell the owner what the maximum sized solid that pump can pass without clogging the impeller. The Hidrostal pump is available with immersible or submersible motors, dry pit, and diesel driven or in a Pre-rotation basin. The Hidrostal Pump has 100 hydraulic models, is available from 2” through 28” pipe sizes, up to 240 Ft (TDH) and 900 HP in materials and speeds appropriate for any sludge or wastewater application. The Prerostal® basin with a Hidrostal immersible pump motor matches station outflow to pump inflow using a fixed speed motor. The self-cleaning basin automatically removes floating and settling solids in a wet pit as well as drains it completely.
