SWORL Reusable Vacuum Bags

SWORL reusables, vacuum bags, cauls, and inflatable bladders, are the world’s #1 material & labor savings replacement for application in the following processes: VIP-consumable bags (single side and envelope), LRTM, chop, wet-lay, and wet preg. Suitable for use in oven & autoclave, and with all types of thermosets, including epoxies, as well as thermoform resins. When used for oven, autoclave, or debulking, SWORL net shape reusable vacuum bags and cauls have been documented to improve quality, producing hundreds of parts using a single bag, eliminating “non-compliant” part production by eliminating consumable bagging failures due to pin holes, part complexity, inexperienced workers, and or worker creep. SWORL has been documented to reduce consumable operator bagging labor by as much as 70%. SWORL is also capable of meeting aerospace requirements regarding silicone transfer. SWORL break even material cost vs consumable bagging material cost is generally less than 25 production parts, and less than 12 parts when adding labor cost. When implemented to replace chop & wet lay, SWORL reusable vacuum bags generally reduce resin consumption by a hefty 30%, VOCs by 80%, while also eliminating voids, improving part thickness tolerances and working conditions. AirTM is the new process alternative to LRTM, offering a floating upper vs a fixed upper, significantly reducing mold stress cracking, capital expense reduced handling requirements and increasing glass loading well above typical LRTM levels. SWORL bags are often built in a single day at 1/3 the cost of LRTM tooling. Like LRTM but at lower costs, SWORL reusable vacuum bags can be used to produce parts consisting of two gel-coated surfaces at a 20% improvement in glass to resin loading typically the result of resin waste associated with the LRTM process. IN most AirTM applications the bag has last almost 1000-part cycles. New Innovative bag to flange tool sealing designs makes implementation on existing flanges possible without the need to add the V Groove. Over 1,000,000 parts world-wide have been produced using SWORL reusable vacuum bags. Demonstrations will be conducted at the booth during the show using the SWORL SSM3 spray dispenser. On display and demonstrated, the SSM-3 is the only scale mountable spray dispenser in the world providing the user with real time material consumption. Low cost and with a footprint of 18” X 15”, the SSM-3 provides dispensing volume at a build rate of 1 sq. ft. per 90 seconds. Affordable for every shop comes with a 3-year warranty. Virtual and on-site training available. If unable to attend CAMX, please feel free to contact Larry at larry@sworl.net. Or call 512 422 4034.
