Vincent Corporation

One of the primary uses of Vincent presses is waste from food processing facilities. The purpose is to separate the water from the waste. This allows the water (press liquor) to be treated or sent to sewer. The solids (press cake) going to landfill or for animal feed are typically reduced in volume and weight by 50%. The Series KP presses are extremely affordable and successful in this application. The Vincent Fiber Filter is used to “clean up” a dilute flow in these same facilities to reduce BOD impact. Frequently, collected solids are then sent to the screw press. There are additional usages for the press in the food processing industry which do not involve waste streams. “Cooker Crumb” from fryers is run through our small press for the reclamation of valuable cooking oil. Eggshell is run through the press and the recovered liquid is dehydrated to be used as an animal feed supplement. Food leaves and herbs are macerated then pressed to produce the “essence”, often used as a food additive and/or flavoring. Raw ginger and horseradish are processed for consumption and food flavoring. Current applications for food processing include: Citrus Feedmills, Eggshell, Tomato, Pistachio, Salad Waste, Cooker Crumb, Berry Processing, Potato Waste, Corn Silage, Spent Brewers’ and Distiller Grains, Sugar Beet Trash, Carrot, Potato/Corn Chip, Pomegranate, Baby Food Waste, Coffee, Tea, Pineapple, Xanthan Gum, Celery, Coconut, Soya, Steak Sauce, Olive, Onion… Unique to the industry, Vincent offers an equipment rental program. Of the over 200 machines available, over 140 are out on rentals at any time. Located in Tampa, FL, Vincent’s equipment is being used in over 50 countries. | The Vincent Series KP press has replaced the centrifuge as the preferred method to separate shell from inedible egg. Many sizes are available to handle throughput requirements ranging from hatcheries to in-line breaking. Other applications are feather and offal pressing. Its simplicity of design and lack of high speed components make the KP press much more reliable and less costly to operate than a centrifuge. It is also quiet, eliminating the need for ear protection usually associated with a centrifuge. Vincent Corporation has been doing business since 1931, always Tampa based. We have presses is well over 200 applications across a wide variety of industries. Rental units are available to allow you to fully evaluate our equipment prior to making a purchase. | Vincent Corporation specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of screw presses and other auxiliary equipment. QUICKDRAFT INC.

Quickdraft has more than 70 years of experience innovating processes to help make manufacturing and food processing throughout the world more efficient. Quickdraft designs conveying, exhaust and exhaust filtration solutions to solve our customers’ most pressing production issues. Quickdraft Venturi technology keeps the blower wheel outside of the exhaust and/or conveying duct so the blower handles only clean surrounding air. This allows us to provide our customers with highly dependable, extremely low maintenance solutions that are designed for 24/7 operation. Our systems are widely used in many industries. Exhaust Systems: Quickdraft venturi exhausters are a long term, dependable, low maintenance solution for any exhaust application where the nature of the exhaust increases maintenance, results in production downtime or results in frequent replacement of in-line exhaust fans. With no moving parts in the exhaust stream, the Quickdraft exhauster is an excellent solution for extremely hot, cryogenic, acidic, sticky, corrosive or particulate applications. In the Food Processing industry, Quickdraft’s exhausters are often used on exhaust from ovens, fryers, cryogenic freezing tunnels and blenders, fermentation tanks and kettles, among other applications. Exhaust Filtration Systems: Quickdraft developed a Demister exhaust filtration system to address our Food Processing customers’ concerns regarding grease, breading and particulate escaping in the exhaust when frying or cooking bacon, poultry, pork, meats, tortilla chips and other food products. The Demister system uses a three-stage process to remove grease, oil and particulate from the exhaust stream: • Knockdown and Velocity Reduction is used to slow the exhaust air stream and allow larger particles to fall out, • Water spray showers are located at optimum locations to “scrub” the airflow of grease, oil, particulate, breading and marinade, • A series of specially designed Demister filter pads capture as much of the remaining grease, oil, marinade, breading and particulates as possible. Quickdraft offers two different Demister systems based on the application and are 99% efficient for particles 5 micron or greater and 80% efficient for 3 micron particulate. Water recirculation systems are incorporated into our systems to save water. There are over 400 Quickdraft Demister systems installed throughout the world, keeping production rooms free of smoke, improving the efficiency of the cooking and frying process and keeping our customers’ roofs free of grease and particulate matter. Our Demister systems reduce cleaning, eliminate potential pest problems and extend roof life. Pneumatic Conveying Systems: Quickdraft’s pneumatic conveying system design allows customers to convey a variety of materials consistently and safely without labor interaction. These materials include spent hot dog casings, packaging trim, shrink wrap, offal and some edible products. Our systems are designed with a priority on food safety, ease of cleaning, reduction of water usage, minimize utilization of valuable floor space, increased production reliability and reduced labor requirements. Our systems are used in a variety of industries, are designed specifically for each application and allow 24/7 operation with minimal required maintenance. | At the very core of Quickdraft’s system offerings is its Venturi. Quickdraft developed Venturi blower technology using the Bernoulli principle, to efficiently increase air velocity and maintain vacuum pressure with no obstructions in the material conveying or exhaust flow path, providing years of reliable 24/7 operation.EXHAUST: Quickdraft’s Venturi Exhauster replaces traditional in-line exhaust fans in a high maintenance critical production environment. It is the right long-term solution in these situations. The use of venturi technology eliminates the impeller from the exhaust air stream; therefore, eliminating maintenance, unstable exhaust and downtime typically associated with grease, oil or other material buildup on the exhaust fan wheel. Our systems can be installed with your new or existing oven and fryer equipment.Ideal for cryogenic exhaust or very hot exhaust applications. No possibility of build-up on the in-line fan wheel that may cause continuous maintenance issues or unplanned downtime.Consistent, dependable exhaust performance maximizes production up time.Ideal for acidic, grease-laden or particulate-laden exhaust applications.CONVEYING: The Venturi is powered by a pressure blower, injecting air at high velocity and pressure through a plenum chamber controlled by a nozzle in the Venturi. This creates the Venturi effect and induces the flow of air upstream of the Venturi. Sufficient velocity is generated in the conveying ducts before and after the Venturi to capture and convey material in a consistent, trouble-free manner. The blower sits outside of the conveying duct and handles ambient air. The material does not contact the blower or the rotating fan impeller. This arrangement results in a very dependable pneumatic conveying system that is virtually maintenance-free. It also allows the blower to be constructed of carbon steel, resulting in lower system costs. There are no obstructions to the material flow and all moving parts are external to the conveying ducts.Little or no maintenance.Consistent, dependable conveying performance.Conveying duct can be thoroughly cleaned without harming the blower.Designed for 24/7 operation.Long service life. The blower can be located remotely from the Venturi and conveying duct.Sound reduction equipment available for all applications. | Quickdraft has more than 70 years of experience innovating processes to help make manufacturing and food processing throughout the world more efficient.
