Reno Machine Company
Founded in 1957, Reno Machine Company located in Newington, CT is a CNC-based 85,000 square foot manufacturing facility specializing in aerospace, defense, and research and development projects. Known for its large-scale 3 to 5 axis machining capabilities that are unique to the region, Reno stands out amongst its competitors. Its customer base includes industry leaders such as Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, and Collins Aerospace. In 2010, Reno Machine’s owners acquired Design Company, Inc. (DECO), an engineering and design firm specializing in manufacturing support and fabrication services. DECO specializes in complex tooling, fixtures, composite molds, large machined components, and lifting devices. The addition of DECO enabled Reno Machine to provide full-service design and engineering capabilities to their customers, increasing their competitive edge. More recently, in 2025, the owners of Reno Machine once again expanded their footprint by acquiring TM Industries, a 55,000 square foot manufacturing facility based in East Berlin, CT. TM Industries brings expertise in 3 through 7-axis milling and large diameter turning, with a strong focus on marine and power generation work. Key customers include General Dynamics Electric Boat, BAE Systems PPC, and Pratt & Whitney. The acquisition of TM Industries has further expanded Reno Machine and DECO’s capabilities. Together, Reno Machine, DECO, and TM Industries offer OEMS a streamlined one-stop solution for precision machining and high-quality design services spanning across multiple industries | Founded in 1957, we are a large-format, CNC-based manufacturing facility with the capacity to handle contracts from simple operation on a critical component, to the design, fabrication and machining of complex assemblies, tools and molds. Reno Machine acquired TM Industries, specializing in the development and production of large power generation components, with their core competencies including three, four, five, six and seven axis milling and large diameter turning.
ReForm Composites, Inc.
ReForm Composites Engineering, LLC (RCE) is a privately held engineering and manufacturing company focused on continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFRTP). As the commercialization partner for the Continuous Forming Machine (CFM) developed at the University of Maine, RCE delivers low-logistics, scalable CFRTP solutions through product development and scale-up support using the CFM and other custom manufacturing equipment. The CFM combines pultrusion and thermoforming into a continuous, modular platform that enables the production of durable, lightweight, corrosion-resistant composite parts using recyclable materials. This opens the door to a new generation of composite applications that are tougher, more sustainable, and better suited to large-scale deployment. RCE supports clients across construction, infrastructure, defense, and industrial markets with design, scale-up, and training services to expedite CFRTP adoption in new markets. RCF Technologies
RCF Technologies produces a revolutionary material called Rishon®. Rishon material pushes the capabilities of rubber into the realm of composites by combining the properties of fabrics and elastomers into a single, homogeneous whole. By forcing RCF’s proprietary elastomer through the weave of the selected fabric, an entirely new material is achieved, with different properties than either of the parent materials. The unique properties of Rishon material include: • Rishon operates from -170ºF (-112.2ºC) to +850ºF (454.4ºC) continuously • Rishon material is an FAA approved Fire Barrier in thicknesses as low as .027” • Rishon material is compatible with almost all fluids on an aircraft • Rishon material bonds to all metals and most composites using the parent material in the B stage as the adhesive • Rishon material is a low modulus material, so it also absorbs both sound and vibration • Rishon material can become a heat and/or flame insulator in thicknesses as low as .050” • Rishon material is inherently non-conductive, but can become electrically conductive while remaining flexible with almost no added weight • Rishon material has been determined to outgas far less than the strict NASA requirements for space use even in vacuum conditions RCF Technologies has developed a groundbreaking solution for the manufacture of thermoplastics by designing a reusable inflatable bladder made from Rishon material. This innovative proprietary material, which is able to sustain operating temperatures up to 850ºF, as well as produce hollow complex shapes reliably, is perfectly suited to function as an inflatable, reusable mandrel. The Rishon bladder is inserted into the tool and then inflated to create the necessary pressure. Once inflated, the tool is heated under pressure, allowing the thermoplastic material to cure. After the curing process is complete, the tool is cooled, and a vacuum is applied to pull the bladder. The Rishon bladder, having served its purpose as a mandrel, can be easily removed and reused for subsequent manufacturing cycles. Rishon material exhibits exceptional thermal properties, can withstand high temperatures and pressures, and is flexible and robust, thus making it an ideal candidate for manufacturing inflatable bladders. Unlike traditional methods and materials, the use of Rishon during the thermoplastic manufacturing process will meet the requirements without compromising its structural integrity. RCF also manufactures lightweight metal couplings, clamps, isolation mounts, flexible connectors and sealant tapes, insulation, electrically conductive as well as non-conductive parts, seals, gaskets, ducting and many specialty items utilizing Rishon material. Rishon products are suitable for use in most high temperature applications on most aircraft.
