We assist with Holocaust survivors, children at risk, victims of terror attacks, PTSD sufferers, and install bomb safety shelters and provide ambulances and emergency vehicles. We are committed to the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. In addition we produce praise and worship songs by Barry and Batya Segal, biblically based teaching messages and a weekly broadcast of news from Israel called VFI News.
Operation Israel
Operation Israel is a U.S.-based, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in response to the October 7th attacks on Israel. Our mission is simple and urgent: to protect those who protect Israel. We deliver life-saving tactical, medical, and protective equipment directly to IDF soldiers, first responders, and civil defense units on the frontlines – to meet real-time needs. Since our founding, Operation Israel has raised over $10.9 million, delivered more than 100,000 critical items, and supported over 93,000 soldiers. In addition to urgent gear, we also fund innovative defense solutions, including drone training schools, field repair labs, tank-integrated surveillance, IED detection programs, and remote-controlled robotics — technologies that save lives in high-risk missions. We are proud to stand with Israel’s defenders, and we are powered entirely by grassroots support from people who refuse to stand by while Israel’s security is under threat. Together, we are making a direct, life-saving impact – one soldier and one mission at a time.

Hope of Israel Baptist Broadcast
About the Host of the Hope of Israel Baptist Broadcast Before he became a preacher… before he became a Baptist… Dr. K. Daniel Fried was simply a young man searching for truth. He spent three life-changing years living in Israel during the historic days of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Surrounded by the land of the Bible and the tension of war, his heart was already being shaped for something greater — though he did not yet know it. After returning to the United States, he joined the U.S. Army. But during his first year of service, tragedy struck. His uncle — the respected Rabbi Shepard Baum, Director of Kosher Regulations for New York City, a leader in the World Jewish Congress, and a U.S. representative at the Eichmann trials in Israel — died suddenly. The loss shook him deeply. Dr. Fried took leave from the Army and returned home, grieving and searching. He wrestled with questions about life, death, and eternity. The answers he had known were no longer enough. His heart longed for certainty — for truth. One day, while standing in his late uncle’s private library, surrounded by sacred Jewish texts and ancient manuscripts, something unexpected caught his eye. Tucked between the volumes was a small black book. It was a King James Bible. No one knows how it came to rest on the shelf of an Orthodox Rabbi. But at that moment, it was exactly where it needed to be. When Dr. Fried began to read, he encountered something life-changing. Through the Scriptures, he became deeply convicted about his own sin and came face-to-face with the truth of Jesus Christ — the promised Messiah. In 1977, Dr. K. Daniel Fried received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. And that changed everything. A burden immediately filled his heart — for his family, for his friends, for the Jewish people, and for all who needed hope. Alongside his wife, he began an outreach called Hope of Israel, which later became the Hope of Israel Baptist Mission in 1997. For almost 50 years, Dr. Fried has faithfully preached the Gospel. He has pastored churches, helped establish new congregations, founded a Bible College, launched outreaches, and earned his Doctorate from Faith Baptist Bible College in Georgia, and a PhD from Central Indiana Independent Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary. Today, he serves as Director of the Hope of Israel Baptist Mission and as host of the Hope of Israel Baptist Broadcast — proclaiming biblical truth, revival, and the message of salvation across the nation and beyond. His message is clear: There is hope. There is truth. And there is a Messiah who saves. You’re listening to the Hope of Israel Baptist Broadcast.
God’s Pit Crew
God’s Pit Crew is a faith-based, non-profit disaster response team of volunteers serving others in times of need across the country and around the world. Our dedicated volunteers respond to an array of disasters across the world – cleaning up storm damage, rebuilding homes for families and individuals devastated by disasters, and providing product distribution events in our home region, which in turn supports many other local organizations and helping meet the needs of an additional 180,000+ local residents each year. God’s Pit Crew is also the creator of Blessing Buckets, which are five-gallon, purpose-built buckets that are distributed in the wake of disasters and contain some of the most essential items needed. | In May of 1999, Randy and Terri Johnson were moved to action when they watched the horrifying reports of the devastation caused by the largest tornado in recorded history in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wanting to help, but living halfway across the country in Virginia, they borrowed trucks and trailers to deliver loads of supplies to those whose needs far outmatched their own. Little did they know when they began their journey that it was that trip to Oklahoma that would change the trajectory of their lives. In bringing hope to people in desperate need, they found their calling. Soon after, the non-profit disaster response organization known as God’s Pit Crew was born. It is our continued desire to be one of the most effective disaster relief organizations so that we can continue responding as God leads to hurting people in times of disaster — whether it be across the street or around the world.
