D-TA Systems
Founded in 2007, D-TA designs, develops, and manufactures spectrum processing solutions for demanding applications. D-TA’s standard products cover virtually all aspects of Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) from spectrum sensing to spectrum creation. D-TA is the only SMB capable of offering complete turn-key solutions for all EMSO missions. D-TA products are results of ‘out of the box’ thinking, technical innovation, and no-compromise development that fulfills the company’s mandate to cut deployment risk, time, and cost by orders of magnitude. All D-TA products use antenna level digitization, high-speed optical networks as data backbone and software centric processing. All D-TA products, including ESM/ELINT Radar, EW Emulation and Extreme-SWaP optimized products for disposable EMSO missions, are based on just two sub-systems (LRUs) connected by high-speed optical cables: a smart sensor-interface unit; and a (commercially available) processing server. The approach simplifies system design, installation, maintenance, and future upgradability.
Axillon Aerospace
Axillon Aerospace (Baltimore) is an industry leader that specializes in the design, development, production, testing, and repair of high performance antennas and radomes. Our antennas and radomes are utilized for various electronic warfare (EW), satellite communications (SATCOM), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and communication, navigation, and identification (CNI) applications. We design and develop electrically small, high performance military antennas. Our design range includes antennas from quad ridge horns, blades, spirals, conformal multi-mission, patches, broad-band monopoles and dipoles, and more. Our team designs radomes for unique and challenging applications in the aerospace and defense environment. Today, our engineers are equipped with the latest and most powerful equipment, computer-aided engineering tools, and software packages to create new radome designs. Our machine shop boasts a wide variety of capabilities which currently produces a range of metallic and composite components for antenna and radome manufacturing. The antenna assembly department has state-of-the-art equipment and consists of certified technicians capable of high precision delicate soldering, assembly, and bonding of various antenna types. Our finishing department has highly specialized staff able to apply unique, customer-specific finishes and coatings. Test Facilities enable complete antenna electrical testing with performance verification and specialized environmental testing. Our core capability is to design and manufacture composite structures from customer specifications, or build-to-print existing designs. Axillon uses highly detailed lay-up and assembly procedures supported by manufacturing engineers to ensure conformance of our product. Our composite manufacturing specialty is prepreg hand lay-up autoclave cured parts. We also have the capability to perform wet lay-up, VARTM, and out-of-autoclave processing. Our extensive radiation pattern and gain test facilities operate from 200 MHz to 60 GHz and include outdoor, indoor far-field, and compact range measurement. Far-field test facilities include five fully equipped anechoic chambers and one load test chamber. Four of the anechoic chambers are 14′ x 14′ x 20′ and have 2 foot diameter spherical quiet zones. A fifth 8′ x 8′ x 20′ fully shielded anechoic chamber is used for both radiation pattern measurement and high power RF testing. The facility boasts a state-of-the-art compact range specifically designed for Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurements and extremely precise radiation pattern and gain measurements. Lastly, we have a 250′ outdoor range for lower frequency applications. Baltimore has 50+ years of experience designing and producing antennas and radomes for aerospace and defense applications. The operation has existed since 1965 as various entities, and was most recently acquired by SK Capital. The facility is located in Baltimore, MD in a modern 75,000+ square foot facility that houses an integrated fully vertical operation including design, engineering, test, production staff, and manufacturing equipment.
Aspen Consulting Group, Inc.
Aspen Consulting Group (ACG) is a small business with 60+ employees (most are cleared engineers with advanced degrees) and a DCAA approved accounting system. We have been developing hardware, software, architectures, and techniques for C5ISR applications for over 14 years for the Army, Navy, USMC, SOCOM, NASA and coalition partners. We are currently developing a low-cost EW training device for the USMC and multiple SIGINT and EW capabilities for the US Army, USMC, Five Eyes nations and coalition partners. These efforts include development of transceivers, software, amplifiers, DF antennas, and geolocation techniques. ACG has served as a prime contractor for the Army and Navy and has been the key design lead and overall software and hardware lead for the development of over 1500 SIGINT/EW systems for the Army, Navy, USMC, SOCOM, Five Eyes nations and coalition partners. Most of these were quick reaction capability (QRC) programs with shortened development timelines that required agile and spiral development, often with multiple programs executing in parallel. As a small business, ACG can quickly respond to customer requirements and can integrate with other teams, hardware and software products very efficiently. In our current role as a prime contractor for several developmental programs, we do not put any fee on subcontractor, material, or other direct costs, in order to provide maximum value to the customer. The ACG headquarters facility in Sea Girt, NJ supports the M&S, design, development, fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of RF systems and architectures. The facility is equipped with RF development and test benches, a 16 channel RF hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) propagation channel emulator testbed, GNSS emulators, shielded enclosures, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, RF probes, soldering station, CAD design tools and FPGA/DSP/PC development and test benches.
