R-K Electronics, Inc.
R-K Electronics designs and build electronic control components for the pumping industry. Products would include: seal & tempstat relays, single & three phase voltage monitors, intrinsically safe relays for hazardous areas, liquid level controls, alternating relays, Duplex pump controller with high alarm, 3 and 4 pump/compressor sequencing relays, time delay relays, single phase Kw monitor with ModbusRTU communications, transient voltage filters, AC current sensing relays. R-K also make transient voltage filters to suppress kick-back from inductive loads/coils. Seal & tempstat relays are al digital with a display showing the actual seal resistance and NC stat condition. The seal & tempstat relays can also monitor a PTC in place of a NC stat with surface or panel mounting. Three phase voltage monitors can plug-in, surface, panel or din mount. Digital phase monitors show the actually voltage on all three phase and can monitor 115VAC to 277VAC, 1Ø in addition to 200VAC to 600VAC, 3Ø. Three phase monitors are available with Modbus communications. Intrinsically safe relays come in 2-channel and 4-channel configurations. They monitor conductivity/resistance and can be used with probes, floats or a combination. Supply voltages for 2-channel relays are 12VAC/VDC, 24VAC/VDC and for 4-channel relays are 24VAC, 120VAC or 240VAC. Liquid level controls are plug-in with adjustable resistance from 5K to 100K Ohms. Sensing voltage is AC so there is no accumulation of debris on the probes. The duplex pump controls accepts up to 4-float inputs and can sequence pumps via alternation and also provides alarm output for high alarm. Three and four pump/compressor sequencers operate on first on first-off logic. That means all pumps or compressors are operated as long as one or more inputs are satisfied. R-K offers a complete line of time delay relays: on delay, off delay, interval on, one shot, repeat cycle and on-off delay for a single float pump down application.

The technology behind Meltric’s products was developed specifically to address the shortcomings and safety hazards common with pin & sleeve type plugs and receptacles. In 1952, following the observation of an accident with a pin and sleeve device, Gilles Marechal devised the concept of combining the advantages of silver-nickel butt contacts and the load making and breaking capabilities of a switch with the convenience of a plug and receptacle. Shortly thereafter, the first of these products was born. Meltric licensed this technology in the early 1980’s and has been supplying its products to North American customers ever since. Today, after constant advancement of this same basic technology, Meltric products continue to provide unparalleled levels of safety and performance.
