James L. Taylor Mfg. / Ultimizers
James L. Taylor Mfg. has been manufacturing woodworking equipment in Poughkeepsie, NY since 1911. With three distinct product lines we aim to help our customers improve their processes with American made, well built, efficient and safe machinery. JLT Clamps is our custom shop clamping line that focuses on door, drawer, edge, and face gluing applications. The machines are compact, sturdy, and simple to use. Taylor Clamps, known mostly for our Clamp Carrier, takes door clamping, edge and face gluing, and glue application to the next level. Clamp Carriers, Door Pros, conveyorized applicators, and return conveyors are the main stays of the Taylor line. Cameron Automation is the third product line built in Poughkeepsie and is focused on computer controlled optimizing equipment. Ripping, cross cutting, panel sizing, color matching of panels, and automated nesting of flooring bundles has been our focus for the past 25 years. As a company, Taylor has taken the leap into automation to help our customers become more productive and more efficient. Our Engineering and Programming teams focus their energy on systems built around our “main” line of products to move materials in and away. Utilizing conveyors and chain systems of all sorts, along with sophisticated PLC programming, our aim is to be able to provide complete solutions for our customers, maximize their productivity, and reduce their labor input to a manageable and profitable level. Being able to offer these types of solutions, and building them in the US, has given us the ability to expand this part of our business in North America. We look forward to working with you on a project in the future!
