Commute Solutions
Commute Solutions is a service of The Houston-Galveston Area Council. Funded through the Texas Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration, we offer tools and resources for employers, commuters, colleges and universities, property managers, and others to reduce peak period traffic congestion and improve air quality. Our goal is to connect the region’s employees and students with their best travel options. We focus on those who live or work in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller counties. Through our Commute Solutions Partners program, we offer organizations customized travel demand management and telework plans, commuter surveys, zip code mapping, and other technical assistance. We also offer onsite implementation support and educational events. For commuters, we work with our partners throughout the region to provide direct assistance, such as ride-matching support for carpools, connections to vanpools, transit pairing, bike maps and route help, and educational support for telework and compressed work weeks.
