Zeiger Industries is the manufacturer of the Mallard Z4 check ring valve assembly. In addition to screw tips, we manufacture hardened tool steel screws, shut-off nozzles, end caps, nozzles and nozzle tips, and LSR Plug-n-Play conversion kits. All of our manufacturing is done in Canton, Ohio. For molders having issues with black specking and material hang-up while processing the Polycarbonate family of resins, our Zeiger Release and Optical Clarity (ZROC) components are the perfect answer to your problems. Whether you need just a screw tip, screw, or the complete front-end system, we have the experience and solution for you. When integrating our Continuous Taper Front End (CTFE) or Integrally Heated CTFE design, the processor maximizes thermal control and minimizes areas of material hang-up in the ID of the end cap, nozzle, and nozzle tip as we have a self-cleaning tapered design inside. If you are molding PSU and are concerned about or having issues with Sulphidation then our Zeiger High Corrosion and Wear (ZHCW 20) offering is just what you are looking for. We use a 20% Chrome bearing PM Stainless Tool Steel in the construction of the screw, non-return valve, end cap, and nozzle body which stops the Sulphidation phenomena. While many molders are molding glass-filled (GF) materials, more and more automotive and electrical applications are requiring the resin to have a Halogen Free Fire Retardant (HFFR) in it as well. Due to the higher temperatures involved in molding these GF HFFR materials, both corrosive and abrasive attack (wear) present themselves in as little as 28 hours – 3 weeks. We have developed both designs and material combinations to stop these problems and customers are now switching across the board to HFFR Optimized screw, valve, and front-end part designs. For all three of the above-listed applications, our Integrally Heated (IH) end cap or nozzle provides the added benefit of maximum heat control and state-of-the-art heater band technology. | We are the producer and supplier of the Mallard Z4 screw tip/check ring valve, the industry’s state-of-the-art non-return valve offering. In addition to supplying the Mallard Z4 valve, we also manufacture through-hardened tool steel screws designed to maximize production when molding engineering-grade resins. If you need help processing clear Polycarbonate, please stop by our booth to see our Continuous Taper Front End (CTFE) package. The streamlined flow channel, combined with optically friendly tool steel, minimizes black specking and/or brown streaking. If you are looking for processing solutions for the sulphone family of resins, Zeiger has the appropriate design and metallurgical offerings to maximize your production and eliminate material hang-ups and degradation. And lastly, if you are interested in converting your existing thermoplastic machine, into an LSR capable set-up, ask us about our Zeiger LSR Plug-n-Play kits.
