Tsubota Laboratory, Inc.
Tsubota Laboratory, Inc. is a clinical development stage company working on ophthalmic and CNS programs originated from Keio University School of Medicine. Our lead technology, violet light emitting eyeglass frame, is a versatile technology that is efficacious in ophthalmology and central nervous system (CNS). It is a visible light of wavelength between 360 – 400 nm, and found in the sunlight. It activates the non-visual photoreceptor OPN5 to induce various pharmacological actions. Our phase I/II study proved safety of the light which targeted myopic children receiving the treatment 3 hours per day for 6 months with no related adverse events.
