Our products are used in high heat applications where non-stick properties are required. The company’s multilingual sales and support staff can help solve the most challenging customer applications. Taconic is finding a better way. | Taconic manufactures high performance PTFE coated fiberglass tapes and fabrics. These materials serve as a cost-effective release surface for hand lay-up and open mold composites. PTFE coated fabric flexible release liners conform to the mold while its nonstick coating allows clean removal from the molded composite part. In open mold processing, the mold or tool is lined with PTFE coated tape which provides an advantage over fabric for complex shapes in that it is conformable and will stay firmly in place. Once the PTFE lined mold is filled with resin and composite material, curing occurs and the PTFE tape releases cleanly from the tooling. Taconic’s PTFE tapes and fabrics replace other manually applied release agents that are labor intensive to use and must be reapplied before each lay-up. PTFE tapes and fabrics provide a more consistent release and may also last for several pulls from the mold, providing additional time and cost savings. Another advantage of using PTFE tape and fabric as a release surface is the elimination of harmful chemicals that are often used to clean other release agents off the parts after manufacturing. | Taconic produces PTFE and silicone coated fabrics, tapes and belts for a wide range of industrial applications. These durable coatings offer a host of benefits that make them ideal for demanding environments. Our expertise can help solve application challenges in food processing, packaging, aerospace, automotive, PVC welding, lamination, screen printing, textile drying/curing, composite molding, plastics and chemical processing, and much more. | Taconic specializes in high-performance PTFE and silicone coated materials engineered to meet the demanding needs of the commercial baking industry. With over six decades of experience, we are a trusted global partner to bakeries and OEMs seeking reliable, food safe solutions that enhance productivity and end product consistency. Available in ferrous or non-ferrous metals, Rigid-tex® can be provided in sheet, strip, or coil. Enhanced performance and appearance over plain flat-rolled metal equates to stronger, lighter, better looking, and longer lasting metal for your unique application.Rigid-tex® saves metal and money – A prime advantage of Rigid-tex® metal is its strength. It’s stronger than plain flat-rolled metal because of its three-dimensional design. It has greater strength in all directions in contrast with corrugated metal, which has increased strength in only one direction. Consequently, when Rigid-tex® metal is used in place of ordinary metal, lighter gauges can be substituted, reducing weight and saving metal without sacrificing strength. Rigid-tex® metal provides as much as 108% greater rigidity, 70% greater buckling strength, 39% greater impact resistance, and 92% greater tensile strength than the original flat metal, depending on selection of material and pattern.Rigid-tex® is metal for motion – Deep textured Rigid-tex® metal reduces surface tension and friction for the processing of paper, film and food products, in many instances, eliminating the need for expensive and high maintenance mechanical processes.Rigid-tex® looks better longer – The texture of Rigid-tex® metal conceals scratches, smudges, and fingerprints so that cleaning and maintenance are greatly reduced. | Vipertex® is the heat transfer division of Rigidized Metals Corporation®, offering enhanced surfaces and tubes for high performance thermal systems. Vipertex® tubes can be produced using various ASTM standards: ASTM B1040 (Copper); ASTM A1120 (Carbon Steel); ASTM A1098 (Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic and Duplex Stainless steel).
