PlastiCal was formed about 4 years ago and has grown to require our first expansion, which will be commissioned in April and add more than 300 million pounds of capacity annually. We are the low cost producer and plan to extend our market share to become number one! | PlastiCal is a custom compounder located in Sylacauga, Alabama. We produce calcium carbonate-rich compounds and concentrates in polyolefin carriers. Our plant is within a mile of two major quarries to supply calcium carbonate for PlastiCal’s products, which allows us to leverage the value of calcium carbonate for all of our customers. We are a new company with over 50 years of combined work experience in daily operations of highly filled mineral concentrate facilities. We have concentrates in most polyolefin carriers that allow our customers use less plastic in their product while increasing their productivity. Our masterbatches are used widely in film, sheet, thermoforming, injection molding, extrusion and blow molding. We also have our ReCyCal(TM) product line that contains recycled calcium carbonate and is used in thicker film, extrusion, molding and other markets such as carpet backing.
